Parker sits southeast of Denver along Parker Road, where the plains rise toward the ponderosa-covered ridges of northern Douglas County. Its downtown, centered on Mainstreet, has kept a small-town scale with the PACE Center for the arts, O’Brien Park, and a summer schedule of outdoor markets and events.

Vanessa lives in Parker and has represented clients here, including a five-bedroom home on Thunderbird Road on the town’s south side.

Housing character

Most of Parker’s housing was built after 1990 in master-planned communities: Stonegate and Canterberry Crossing to the north and east, with pools, tennis courts, and trail systems maintained by their HOAs; and Pradera, a golf community, to the south. The Pinery, developed earlier, is distinct for its larger, wooded lots and custom homes among mature ponderosa pines. Closer to Mainstreet, older single-family homes sit alongside newer townhomes and condominiums.

Getting around

Parker Road and E-470 are the main connections north to Denver, the Denver Tech Center, and Denver International Airport. Castle Rock is about 15 minutes south along Crowfoot Valley Road, and Rueter-Hess Reservoir on the town’s west side has a growing trail network.

Stonegate: One of Parker’s largest established master-planned communities, with mature landscaping and HOA-maintained pools and courts.
The Pinery: Custom and semi-custom homes on wooded lots along Parker Road south of town, developed around the Pinery Country Club.
Downtown Parker: Mainstreet’s shops, restaurants, and the PACE Center, with a mix of older homes and newer attached product nearby.
