Littleton grew from an 1860s farming settlement along the South Platte River into one of the metro area’s more established suburbs. Its historic downtown along Main Street has an RTD light rail station, and its neighborhoods fan out west toward the Dakota Hogback and south toward Chatfield Reservoir.
